What I collect, and what I don't
Jerbot is one person in Texas. I don't run ads, I don't use analytics, and I don't sell anything about you to anyone. This page says exactly what I hold and how to get rid of it.
The short version
Rug Pulled! is in closed beta, so playing it means signing in with a free account. By default I hold your email address and a record of when you played. Nothing else, unless you choose one of the two things below.
Your game saves never reach me on their own. Careers live in your own browser's storage on your own device. Signing in unlocks the game; it does not upload your play. The one exception is if you deliberately attach your roster to a feedback message — then I have the copy you sent me, and only that copy.
What I collect when you sign in
- Your email address. Used to send you a sign-in link. I don't use passwords, so this is how signing in works at all.
- Play sessions. When you opened the game, which build you
ran, and a coarse note of your platform — something like
macos/chrome. Not a device identifier, not a full browser fingerprint.
Two things, only if you choose them
- Newsletter updates. There is an unticked box when you sign in. Tick it and I'll email you occasional updates about what's shipped and what's coming, and I record the moment you agreed. Leave it alone and you will never hear from me except sign-in links. You can stop at any time, and stopping doesn't affect your access to anything.
- Feedback you send me. If you use the feedback form in the game, I keep what you wrote and which build you were on. You can also attach your roster — careers, traders, Ka$h and items — so I can see what actually happened in your game. That attachment is a checkbox you can untick, and sending feedback without it works fine.
Feedback goes to me privately. It is never published, never posted anywhere, and it is not a store review.
What I never collect
- Your game saves, unless you send them. Careers, traders, Ka$h and items stay in your browser's local storage on your own device. Nothing uploads them automatically and there is no cloud save. The only way a save reaches me is if you attach it to feedback yourself.
- Analytics or tracking. No tracking pixels, no advertising networks, no third-party scripts watching you.
- Payment information. Nothing is for sale yet. When that changes, a payment processor will handle it and this page will say so.
- Anything about children. These services aren't directed at children under 13 and I don't knowingly collect their information.
Why I collect it
To run a closed beta. Knowing who is testing, how often, and on which build means a bug report can be traced to an actual version instead of a guess. The account also means that when Rug Pulled! reaches iOS, the same sign-in works there.
I don't use your email for marketing. If that ever changes I'll ask first.
Who else touches it
- Supabase — stores the account and the play-session records.
- Netlify — serves these pages and the game, and keeps standard server logs as any web host does.
Both are service providers acting for me. Nobody else receives your data, and I don't sell or share it.
How long I keep it
For as long as the beta runs, or until you ask me to delete it. When the beta ends I'll delete the play-session records unless you've carried the account forward to a released version.
Your rights
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the game: Settings → Account → Delete account. It happens immediately and it can't be undone. The game offers to download your careers first — take the download if you want to keep them.
Deleting removes your email address, every play-session record tied to it, and any feedback you sent me — including a roster you attached to it.
Your game saves aren't affected. They're on your device, not mine, and clearing your browser data removes them. The only copy I could ever have — a roster you chose to attach to feedback — goes with the account.
You can also ask me to show you what I hold, or correct it.
Email [email protected] and I'll handle it. I'm one person, so allow a few days.
Depending on where you live — the EU, UK, or California, among others — you may have additional statutory rights. Ask and I'll honour them.
Rug Pulled! is a game, not financial advice
Rug Pulled! is fiction. The market is simulated, the tickers are invented and the companies are parodies. Nothing in it is a real security, nothing that happens in it reflects any real market, and none of it is investment advice, a recommendation, or a prediction.
Strategies that work in the game are tuned to make the game good. Do not trade real money on the basis of anything you learned here.
Changes
If what I collect changes, I'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you have an account, I'll email you.
